In-ear headphones? You mean earphones then? Headphones go over your head, these go in your ears. Simples.

Like most people I own and have owned many devices that use headphones. Like a lot of people I have also been looking for a reasonably priced high quality pair of headphones. After many years of looking I have now found them The S4's are fantastic! It takes a bit of fiddling to get set up with the correct sized ear tips but it's worth the time. Once done they provide superb noise isolation which linked to the sound quality has revitalised my music appreciation. I cannot recommend the S4's enough.

Just recieved these ear-phones as a xmas present. All I can say is these are an epic pair of buds. Didn't expect them to be as good as they are They ar: comfortable they make my bose over-ear headphones sound cheap! I even got goose bumps listening to Closer by Ne-yo. They are a bargain at this price, just get them!

I do a lot of music production in places where volume is an issue, so I went scouring the web for some in-ear headphones to help me pick out the detail of the instruments and effects i use, just like monitors. (big ask). I read a lot of reviews and finally came to the conclusion that these ought to be worth their asking price, if the so-called experts really know their stuff. They're actually better than i could have ever expected - superbly comfortable, incredible range and accuracy, insanely good all round. Buy them. Buy them now.

Sound quality, in relation to ear phone provided with products, is far superior. There is much greater bass definition. Product is comfortable to wear and earpieces fit snugly. Great product for the price.

I brought these earphones as a replacement to use with my ipod. Money well spent! I was unsure, spending so much on headphones, but I am pleased I did. They are incredible; you can hear every part of the music perfectly, with thumping bass for the tracks that need it. They also insulate sound very well, when I wear them I’m in a world of my own, even in the noisy streets of London. I would suggest them to anyone looking for new earphones for their ipod, especially those who appreciate quality.

Excellent headphones at a very good price. The elliptical domes are such an amazing improvement in comfort, better than anything I've used previously including Etymotic, Sennheiser and Schure earbuds. Fidelity is outstanding for any music, and bass is particularly good. Noise isolation is good but not the very best, my old Etymotic ER6s had double domes which worked a little better, (the small double domes that come with the S4 are too small for me) but they were a lot less comfortable and more expensive with no improvement in sound. Highly recommended.

Awesome headphones - I tried (and was unsatisfied with) Sennheiser MX 500 earbuds & CX 400 in-ear headphones prior to these. The S4s are in a different league, the sound reproduction is absolute night and day difference!

Recently my faithful Shure E3c's of 7 years gave up the ghost and having got them at half price originally I decided to shop around for an alternative (the half price for the Shures was a one off) at a similar price to what I paid. I looked at buds from Denon, Sennheiser and Klipsch. Having done some research I decided that the S4's might be better than the cheaper Denons and Senn's, on the basis of getting what you pay for!! I ordered them but had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery and so I continued to read further reviews and began to wonder if I'd made the right choice as some of the reviews were somewhat critical and my E3c's had been such a joy to listen too I was worried the S4's might not measure up. So when they arrived I unpacked them with a little trepidation!! My first impressions were that they looked well made in the black and silver gloss finish. They are a lot bigger than the E3c's and felt heavier in the ear. Klipsch say that their oval bud design fits the ear better and this is certainly true but I found that the tips are made from a smooth silicon which easily falls out if the ear should moisten (and my ears do sweat when using buds) and I found that I was constantly pushing them back in as to regain the bass. The E3c's suffered the same problem which I overcame using cheap eBay 4 flange white tips 'cutting them at the 2nd flange. These are made from a more grippy silicon and although round do a much better job. I also found that by using the S4's upside down and routing the cable over the top of the ear they sat in ear better (this is how the Shures are used) and are less likely to dislodge. As for the sound I was not disappointed. The bass is deeper than the E3c's but still retains a taughtness, good midrange detail etc. I found the overall sound highly engaging and every bit as good as the Shures My only concern with the S4's is the gauge of cable used which at this price should be better. It tangles easily and looks like it would break if snagged. In conclusion then I am certainly pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone, a worthy successor to my old faithfuls, but get some of those white tips and put them in upside down - made a big difference for me.

All in all i'm very happy with the S4 headphones. They are very comfortable even after long periods of use. The sound quality is fantastic and really suits many genres of music. I personally tend to listen to Rock/electronic and the bass / clarity of these headphones is right up there with the more expensive products in my opinion. I just hope they last me a few years now!
