Klipsch iGroove HG, £130

Klipsch makes well-priced iPod docks that deliver the sonic goods. The iGroove’s iPod recess is a perfect fit for an iPod Touch or iPhone and its moulded plastic casing is nicely put together. Music sounds surprisingly expansive, given its modest dimensions and price, but close to a wall the iGroove sounds bass-heavy, thanks to its rear-firing port. The audio isn’t as sophisticated as the B&W’s, nor as powerful as that of the Bose, and the remote control feels cheap. Nevertheless, the Klipsch cannot be beaten for value.

VERDICT
A lot of class for so little loot.
