Klipsch employess have been very active in raising money for the Make-A-Wish foundation to assist  Indianapolis-area Make-A-Wish children who are currently battling life-threatening medical conditions. The majority of funds have been raised in connection with several events, including Make-A-Wish’s own Annual Walk for Wishes®, Bloomington Bicycle Club’s RAIN Ride, the WZPL Request-A-Thon, and Klipsch Night with the Pacers.

Since our inception in 1946, giving back has remained an important component of the Klipsch corporate mission. The generosity and dedication exhibited by our employees is nothing short of admirable and solidifies the pride which consistently surrounds our organization.

With the funds raised, Klipsch has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant several wishes, including sending an 11-year-old girl to Discovery Cove in Orlando to swim with the dolphins. For two young children, Klipsch designed the ultimate entertainment room. A 15-year-old was granted his wish for the live music experience—tickets and backstage passes to any of the concerts taking place at the Klipsch Music Center this summer, as well as his own Mode M40 headphones and the first Klipsch Music Center KMC 3 ever produced—serial number 001.

Although we have exceeded our fundraising expectations, we intend to grant more wishes. Everyone involved has done an outstanding job encouraging donation efforts and heightening the spirits surrounding our cause. In fact, of all our causes, Make-A-Wish is the one our employees are most enthusiastic about. The Klipsch team is continuing to incorporate company-wide fundraising events so we can in turn continue to brighten these children’s days.

Next on the agenda is the WZPL Request A Thon, where eight Klipsch volunteers will work phone bank as the company donates products for prizes. In 2011, musician Kid Rock called in during the Klipsch hour to donate $30,000! The company also plans to auction the custom-made OCC chopper, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish.
