INDIANAPOLIS (January 16, 2008) — Klipsch has introduced an advanced new line of 70-volt IC-T Series business music system speakers, including three in-ceiling models and a subwoofer. These products offer several improvements over the popular models they replace, but still maintain the previous units’ value-driven philosophy.

Consisting of the all-new IC-400-T, the IC-525-T, IC-650-T and the IC-8T-SW2 subwoofer, this rugged lineup is suitable for a wide variety of business and residential applications. The smaller IC-400-T provides great sound at a new, lower price point, while the IC-525-T and IC-650-T offer deeper, richer bass sound than their predecessors, the IC-5T and IC-6T. IC-T Series products have been used in major installations from Bloomingdale’s in New York City to the Ron Jon Surf Shop in Orlando.

Additionally, with their added performance capabilities, these new speakers mix and match beautifully with existing Klipsch CA-T Series surface mount products.

The newest addition IC-400-T provides legendary Klipsch quality and horn-loaded technology at a value price. It employs a 5-inch cone and 1-inch titanium compression driver tweeter that is mated to a new 2-inch Tractrix® Horn design. This provides a wider frequency response, while a 1-inch Tractrix port also delivers a deeper bass sound.

The IC-650-T, which replaces the IC-6T, utilizes the same materials, porting and horn technology as the IC-400-T but employs a larger 6.5-inch woofer and new patent pending 3.5-inch horn with XT technology that delivers smooth response and constant directivity. Similarly, the IC-525-T, with its 5.75-inch woofer and 3.5-inch horn, replaces the IC-5T. All of the new speakers are rated at 8 ohms nominal.

To add additional clear, powerful bass to any business audio system, the Klipsch IC-8T-SW2 is the ideal solution. The IC-8T-SW2 subwoofer replaces the previous IC-8T-SW model. It features an 8-inch woofer and 8-inch drone with polypropylene cones and high temperature voice coils. A new design that eliminates the need for a transformer increases bass for remarkable performance in a compact package.

The new IC-T Series speakers are wider and lower than the previous models to facilitate low-ceiling installs. A tile bridge is included with each speaker for installation in ceiling tiles, or where additional reinforcement is required. The IC-400-T, IC-525-T and IC-650-T are available in black or white.

The new IC-T Series—with the exception of the IC-8T-SW2 subwoofer—are priced and sold in pairs.
